This happened to be the very first time I utilized this software. Though I’ve been in the Corporate Education Training Field for the majority of my career, I had never heard of this program until my position was eliminated. As I began my first job search in six years, I was told about an organization designed just for trainers. The Association for Talent Development (ATD) literally changed the course of my career. I attended a breakfast meeting with one of the Board Directors, and she provided me with a list of industry standard software programs. One of them was Articulate 360.
I quickly returned home and downloaded the free trial. Then, I began viewing tutorials on their website. I followed along with the webinars and played around with the program a bit. Within a couple of days, I decided to create my own course. I wasn’t quite certain where to begin; I knew I needed to create a course with a familiar subject matter, but what? I decided to focus in on Blogging. I had actually been interested in that subject for awhile. Then, I began my research. I found a website that spoke on the 10 Key Steps to Blogging Success (Jeff Bullas). This was it! I would utilize this website to create my first E-Learning Course.
I created the modules by first, selecting a color scheme. I chose the white-purple-pink scheme, as I felt it was the most aesthetically pleasing. Next, I began building out each module, including graphics from their media content library, as well as the graphic design tool website, Canva. I also created a separate explainer video to use with the course, with the animated video creation platform, Vyond. I inserted that, as well as an audio recording, and voila´! The course was created. I then opted to add a short quiz at the conclusion of the third learning module (just to test the viewer’s knowledge). I uploaded the course to Review 360, and shared on my LinkedIn Platform.
I thoroughly enjoyed building this course with Rise. It was pretty simple and a lot of fun. Thank you to Jeff Bullas’ for his informative write up on the Blogging Success subject matter. I decided to use him as my SME. 🙂
